Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has declined a major offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal. Despite the financial temptation, the Portuguese midfielder is staying at Old Trafford.
Fernandes, 30, said the club didn’t pressure him to stay but made it clear he was important to the project. Manager Ruben Amorim reportedly encouraged him not to leave.
Ahead of Portugal’s Nations League semi-final, Fernandes stated:
“I want to keep playing elite football and take part in the biggest competitions.”
With stars like Ronaldo and Neves already in Saudi Arabia, Fernandes’ decision highlights his commitment to competing at the highest level with United.
